Cricket Happenings England won 1st test of Ashes series by 9 wickets & cricket round world week.

Australia winning the 1st test of the Ashes series under a new captain Patrick Cummins by 9 wickets. Cummins himself picked up a fifer, leading the team for the first time. Travis Head was a surprise packet, playing a fearless innings of 152, a ton scored in one session of play & that happened to be the 3rd fastest century in a Ashes series. Nathan Lyon picked up his 400th wicket in tests. Cameron Green got his maiden test wicket after a long wait. Alex Carey, Aussie keeper on debut equaling the record by picking up 8 scalps behind the sticks.

Pakistan swamped Bangladesh in the test series 2 nil.

Cricket updates from the Big Bash League in Australia, where Colin Munro smashed 114 runs in the win by Perth Scorchers over Adelaide Strikers.
