In the chase of 179, New Zealand were led by a beautiful innings from their captain Williamson, who played with calm assurance, playing his best t20 innings, making 95 of just 48 balls with 8 fours & 6 sixes. Bumrah, who had a rare off day was collared by Williamson, leaking 45 runs of 4 overs. Williamson truly deserved a ton, but got out, sadly. With 9 runs needed of the last over to win, Shami was given the task & his first ball disappeared for a six. Task became easy, but Shami came back, bowling dot balls & with just 1 run needed with scores tied, Shami nailed it by clean bowling Taylor, leading into the super over.
